All reasonable travel costs incurred by students from the recruitment site (your college or university) to GSFC and return will be reimbursed by the institute. Transportation costs from a participant's home to the internship site and return are also considered where possible. *Students who choose to drive a long distance in lieu of flying may be reimbursed for the amount of a round trip airfare rather than mileage.

The SIECA program works with all participants requiring housing to ensusre that adequate living accommodations are acquired for the ten-week internship. Housing inquiries and questions should be addressed to the program director. Housing for the 2007 Summer Institute participants was provided by Laurel Square Apartments in Laurel, Maryland.

Goddard Space Flight Center typically provides day-to-day transportation accommodations via bus to the students traveling between the SIECA-designated housing site and the program site.
