  Aprille Ericsson   Dr. Ericsson
 

Dr. Aprille Ericsson is a native of New York. She moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts at the age of 15 where she completed her secondary education. A Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical/ Astronautical Engineering was awarded to her from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1986. She attended Howard University from 1987 to 1995. In August 1995, she became the first African-American female Ph.D. aerospace engineer. Dr. Ericsson was a 1992 SIECA participant and presentation award recipient. She is currently employed at Goddard Space Flight Center.

Miquel Alexander Moe was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute before finding his way to Bowie State University where he is completing his senior year pursuing a dual degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering. Miquel first began his SIECA experience in the Summer of 2006, working with mechanical engineers on the Express Logistics Carrier (ELC) project at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. The following summer, he returned to work with the Geostationary Operational Environment Satellite 13 (GOES-13) power subsystem. He will return to Goddard Space Flight Center for academic year 2007-2008 for a co-op position while completing his degree requirements at Morgan State University.
